Fascinating Street Life of Waterloo Street

Waterloo Street – a microcosm of Singapore’s street life where the locals come to shop, play, eat and worship. Witness the multiracial and multi-religious character of Singapore where different places of worship are situated along this colourful street – Buddhist and Hindu Temples, Jewish Synagogue and Churches. The synagogue is one of the oldest surviving synagogue in Southeast Asia. You will get a chance to visit the kosher shop and see the fascinating array of foods on offer.

We will pass by a very popular temple, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, one of the most revered gods in Buddhism. Hear about the shenanigans of the infamous Bugis Street of the bygone era; muse on the things sold at the ‘Mall of Feng Shui’ and the ‘shop-temples’. Be ready for all your senses to be activated at shops which sell all manners of weird and wonderful preserved dried Chinese foodstuffs and herbs.

Please dress modestly and put on footwear that is easy to slip on/off.

As there will be a lot of walking, please put on comfortable footwear that is easy to remove and bring your umbrella and lots of drinking water.

We will need to summit 1 week in advance of the tour, the name/passport number/nationality and copy of the photo page of passport of all the people because we will be going to the Synagogue. 

Please take note of the following requirements from the Singapore government:

1. Maximum group size of 15 pax (excluding tourist guide), split into  sub-group and the  sub-groups maintain at least 1m safe distance and no intermingling at all times.
2. Masks to be worn at all times.
3. The tour will be subjected to approval by authorities and might be cancelled at anytime.

Please note: A minimum number of participants is needed for the tour to proceed. Tour will be cancelled should the required minimum number of participants not be met 2 days before the tour date. Your ticket will be refunded in this case.
