Bauhaus lecture with architecture walk

Enjoy this architecture lecture with a Bauhaus-walk and learn the influence on architecture and housing in Singapore. As it is very substantial but not very well known beyond academic discourse. This walking lecture will lead the participants into the understanding of Bauhaus’ radical ideas and its influence on social agenda and urban transformation in Singapore by tracing the typological links and transformations from SIT Flat, Emergency Flat, and HDB Flat in Tiong Bahru area in two hours.
The tour will be in English and led by Dr Johannes Widodo who is Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore. Dr Widodo has a wealth of architectural, historical and cultural knowledge of Germany and Singapore and we are very happy to offer such a special top-quality tour which gives interesting insights for everyone.
Please be on time at our starting point:
Tiong Bahru Plaza ground floor at the outside foyer (Tiong Bahru MRT) near McDonalds/BreadTalk.
The walking tour will start at 9 am sharp.
Please note: A minimum number of participants is needed for the tour to proceed. Tour will be canceled should the required minimum number of participants not be met 2 days before the tour date. The Tour is for GA members only, but of course you can book a second ticket for your partner.
