Join embroidery artist and educator Shivohne (@work_o_fart) for a cozy, creative afternoon at her craft-filled home as we dive into the beautiful art of Sashiko — the traditional Japanese technique of using decorative stitching to repair and reinforce clothing.
This hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop will cover:
The basic tools and materials
The simple yet powerful running stitch
How to design your own geometric Sashiko patterns
Designed for a small group of up to five participants from the German Association, this intimate session is all about slowing down, learning something new, and enjoying the process.
All materials and light snacks will be provided — just bring yourself and your curiosity! You’ll leave with a stitched sampler of patterns and your very own Sashiko starter kit to continue exploring at home.
Date and Time: Saturday, 17 May 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM
Location: SG 389760 - MRT Aljunied and MRT Paya Lebar (The exact address will be shared shortly before the workshop.)
The workshop will be held in English.
Member: SGD 75,- (including all materials and light snacks)
Non-member: SGD 95,- (including all materials and light snacks)
Please note that a minimum number of participants is required for this workshop to proceed and it will be cancelled should the required minimum number not be met 7 days before the tour date. Your ticket will be refunded in that case.
